Thomas Akiyama

Thomas Akiyama is a Senior Vice President and General Manager for AgilLink.  In this role, Thomas oversees daily activities and operations for the company.  Thomas has been with AgilLink and City National Bank since 2018 and has over 20 years of experience in financial services.

Prior to joining City National Bank, Thomas held a wide variety of roles primarily in the banking industry, including at Banc of California where he served as Executive Vice President, Business Finance Officer, responsible for financial management, strategic planning, pricing reviews, and operational reporting and analytics for the lending and banking units. Previously, he was at MUFG Union Bank holding senior leadership and management roles in Corporate Strategy & Development, the North American Strategy Office, IT & Operations Strategy & Analytics, and Operational Risk Management. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant at Accenture, a corporate finance analyst at Banc of America Securities and a program manager at the Capital Group.

Thomas earned a bachelor's degree in economics from University of California at Berkeley. He resides in North Orange County with his wife, Alice, and two daughters.
